Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and online services provided by Al-Hudah Charity Aid & Foundation ("Al-Hudah", "we", "us", or "our"), including the donation platform, donor portal, Zakat calculator, campaign pages and all related content. By accessing or using our website you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About Al-Hudah
Al-Hudah Charity Aid & Foundation is a charitable organisation working to support orphans and families in Uganda and beyond through transparent, Shari'ah-compliant giving. Our registered contact details are: Malukhu, Mbale, Uganda. Contact us at info@alhudahfoundation.org or +256 (700) 69 7404.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to make a donation or register a donor account. By using our platform you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Donations
3.1. All donations are voluntary and, unless stated otherwise, non-refundable. Donations are applied to the campaign or general fund you select.
3.2. You agree to provide accurate and complete payment information. We use secure third-party payment processors (including PayPal and Flutterwave) to handle payments. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
3.3. Where you choose to cover processing fees, we apply the stated fee cover so that 100% of your intended gift reaches the cause.
3.4. Recurring donations ("Sadaqah Jariyah") continue until you cancel them through your donor dashboard or by contacting us.
3.5. We make every effort to use funds for the intended purpose. In exceptional circumstances, we may redirect funds to closely related charitable purposes to ensure they reach those most in need.
4. Donor Accounts
4.1. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4.2. You may manage your details, view your donation history and manage recurring donations through your donor dashboard at dashboard.php.
4.3. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the platform or violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
5.1. You agree not to: use the site in any way that breaches applicable law; interfere with or disrupt the service; attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data; submit false information; or use the site for fraudulent or deceptive activity.
5.2. We reserve the right to refuse or reverse any donation associated with activity we reasonably suspect to be fraudulent or unlawful.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the site, including text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by or licensed to Al-Hudah and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit it without our prior written consent.
7. Privacy & Data
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site you consent to the collection and use of data as described there. We use cookies and similar technologies, and a consent banner asks for your preferences.
8. Security & Your Responsibilities
8.1. We use SSL/TLS encryption, parameterised database queries, CSRF tokens, rate limiting and other measures described in our security notices to protect the platform.
8.2. You are responsible for the security of your own device and credentials, and for not sharing sensitive login information.
8.3. We take reports of security issues seriously. Please report suspected vulnerabilities privately to info@alhudahfoundation.org.
9. Content Provided by You
Any information you submit to us (such as name, email, feedback or donation details) must be accurate. Where you request to be listed on our donor wall, you consent to the public display of your chosen name and donation amount.
10. Third-Party Links
Our site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., social media, payment processors). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Al-Hudah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the website, including any interruption or unavailability of the service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the effective date shown above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to our operations, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.
